Ale Hovispo es una aprendiz eterna de la vida, estudió administración y marketing, pero se especializó en el diseño gráfico, terminó encontrando su rumbo en las artes plásticas. Su vida gira en torno a su familia, el yoga y el arte.

Para la realización de su obra, recurre a un imaginario naturalista en el cual combina dibujos que relatan un universo animal y botánico con colores que suman movimiento y fluidez.

Su obra refleja relatos del tiempo, memorias de amor, intenta evocar sensaciones, y remembranzas para el alma humana. Siempre en búsqueda de la templanza.

Utiliza técnicas mixtas. Le gusta pintar con acuarela, acrílico, carboncillo, lápiz, tinta china y de más. Lo que más le gusta es combinar el dibujo y  el grabado con la pintura.

Ha estudiado dibujo con Victor Pinto; grabado con Cecilia Carrión y también con la dibujante argentina Adriana Rodriguez Gianseto.

Esta carrera le ha dado grandes satisfacciones en el proceso mismo. Ha trabajado para proyectos grandes con el banco BBVA, la marca de zapatillas NIKE, diseñó una de las etiquetas para la cervecería canadience Collective Arts Brewing, además hace las ilustraciones semanales de una columna para la revista Somos de el periodico El Comercio.

Pero lo que más disfruta es poder tener una conexión con sus clientes. Siente que su arte tiene todo un ámbito espiritual, ligado a la meditación. Cuando termina un cuadro y alguien lo compra siempre tiene la sensación que esa persona y su arte estuvieron conectados previamente.

Actualmente esta trabajando en una serie naturalista y mucho más accesible: son prints.  En paralelo, está trabajando en obras de escala más grande, que le tardan un par de meses en terminar.

Ale Hovispo is an eternal apprentice of life. She studied administration and marketing, but subsequently specialized in graphic design and ended up finding her path in the visual arts. Her life is centered in her family, yoga, and art.

To carry out her work, she turns to naturalistic imaginaries in which she combines drawings that depict an animal and botanical universe with colors that add movement and fluidity.

Her work reflects stories of time, memories of love –trying to evoke sensations and memories for the human soul– always in search of temperance.

Alejandra uses mixed techniques. She likes painting with watercolors, acrylics, charcoal, pencil, and Chinese ink, to name a few. What she likes most is combining drawing and engraving with painting.

She has studied drawing with Victor Pinto, engraving with Cecilia Carrión, and drawing with the Argentine cartoonist Adriana Rodriguez Gianseto.

Her career has given her great satisfaction in the process itself. Alejandra has worked on large projects with the BBVA bank and the NIKE shoe brand, and has designed the art for one of the beer labels of the Canadian brewery Collective Brew. She also does the illustrations for a column in El Comercio newspaper’s Somos magazine.

But what Alejandra enjoys most is being able to make a connection with her clients. She feels that her art has a whole spiritual scope, linked to meditation. When she finishes a painting and someone buys it, she always has the feeling that that person and her art were previously connected.

Alejandra is currently working on a naturalistic and much more accessible series of prints. Simultaneously, she is working on larger-scale works, which take her a couple of months to complete.
